USA #2 - Michigan

Michigan Lighthouses, USA

Tym razem pokażę Wam pocztówkę ze stanu Michigan w USA. Jak widzicie przedstawia ona latarnie morskie znajdujące się na wybrzeżach tego stanu. W górnym lewym rogu widać latarnię w Holland Harbor, następnie zgodnie ze wskazówkami zegara latarnia w: Tawas Point, Little Sable, Muskegon, Old Mission i w Point Betsie. 

Razem z pocztówką dostałam przepis na ciasto "7 layers bars" - co prawda nie miałam okazji jeszcze go zrobić, ale z pewnością niedługo się to zmieni :)

This time I want to show you postcard from Michigan, USA. You can see lighthouses, which are located on the seashore of Michigan. Coutner clockwise from top left: Holland Harbor, Tawas Point, Little Sable, Muskegon, Old Mission and Point Betsie. 

With the card I got the recipe for '7 layers bars'. Unfortunately I haven't time to bake it but I'm sure that I do it soon :)

Esta vez quiero mostarte la postal de Michigan, Estados Unidos. Puedes ver los faros, que están situados en la costa de Michigan. En la esquina superior izquierda puedes ver el faro en Holland Harbor, luego hacia la derecha en el faro del punto de Tawas Point, Little Sable, Muskegon, Old Mission y Point Betsie.

Con la tarjeta postal me dieron la receta de '7 layers bars'. Desafortunadamente no tengo tiempo para cocinar, pero estoy seguro de que lo hago pronto :)

Malezja #2 - Mantanani Island

Mantanani Island, Malaysia

Pocztówkę dostałam od Evy z Malezji, która była na wycieczce, której celem było nurkowanie. Wyspa Manatanani jest popularnym miejscem do nurkowania rekreacyjnego. W trakcie nurkowania można zobaczyć trzy wraki pochodzące z czasów II wojny światowej oraz diugonie (piersiopławki). Wyspa jest również wymarzonym miejscem dla obserwatorów ptaków.

 This postcard I got from  Eva from Malaysia. Eva was on her diving trip. Mantanani Island is very popular place to recreation diving. During the diving you can see three dive wrecks dating from the Second World War and dugongs. The island is also ideal place for birdwatchers. 

Diugoń / Dugong / el dugongo

Recibí esta tarjeta postal de Eva de Malasia. Eva estaba en su viaje de buceo. Mantanani Island es el lugar muy popular para la recreación de buceo. Durante de buceo puedes ver tres naufragios que datan de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y los dugongos. La isla es el lugar ideal para ornitólogos.

Fly Little Crane Fly by Bronislovas Ambrozas

Uważam, że ta kartka jest przepiękna. Pochodzi z Litwy i przedstawia lecącego żurawia. Autorem pocztówki jest mąż postcrosserki - Ilony, od której dostałam tę pocztówkę. Żuraw został uchwycony niedaleko ich domu, co sprawia, że kartka jest dla niej jeszcze ważniejsza. Zdecydowanie pocztówka należy do moich ulubionych :)

I think that this postcard is beautiful. It comes from Lithuania and shows flying crane. The author of the card is husband of postcrosser Ilona from who I got that card. The crane was captured near their home which makes that postcard is even more important for her. Postcard is definitely one of my favourites.

Creo que la postal es preciosa.Viene de Lituana y muestra  volar la grúa. El autor de la tarjeta es el marido de postcrosser Ilona que me envió la carta. La grúa fue capturado cerca de su casa que hace que la postal es aún más importante para Ilona. Postal es definitivamente una de mis favoritos.

Włochy #1 - Rzym

Castle of the Holy Angel (Mausoleum of Hadrian), Rome

Mauzoleum Hadriana, znane jest jako Zamek św. Anioła. Początkowo był to grobowiec przeznaczony dla cesarza Hadriana, jego rodziny oraz następców. Budowa trwała 4 lata i zakończyła się w 139r. Mauzoleum znajduje się na prawym brzegu Tybru, w pobliżu Watykanu. W grobowcu pochowano również Antonina Piusa, Marka Aureliusza, Septymiusza Sewera i Karakallę. Budowla funkcję mauzoleum pełniła do 271r., później została włączona w system murów obronnych, a z czasem stała się więzieniem. W V wieku przebudowana na fortecę.

Pod koniec VI wieku papież Grzegorz I Wielki zmienił jej nazwę na Zamek św. Anioła, by upamiętnić ukazanie się anioła chowającego miecz na znak końca epidemii.

W 1277r. papież Mikołaj III połączył zamek z Watykanem za pomocą korytarza Passetto di Borgo, który istnieje do dzisiaj. 

Od 1933r. znajduje się tutaj watykańskie muzeum broni średniowiecznej.

The Mausoleum od Hadrian is usually known as Castel Sant' Angelo. At the beginning it was a mausoleum for Roman Emperor Hadrian and his family and his successors. The building was built for 4 years and was finished in 139. The mausoleum is located on the right bank of the Tiber, near Vatican. In the tomb was buried also Antoninus Pius, Marcus Aurelius, Septimius Severus and Caracalla. The building was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle and also as a prison.

At the end of sixth century, pope Gregory I changed the name of the building to Castle of the Holy Angel, because he wanted to commemorate the appearance of the angel who was hiding the sword as a sign of the end of the epidemic. 

In 1277 pope Nicholas III connected the castle with Vatican by corridor called the Passetto di Borgo. That corridor still exists.

Since 1933 the building is Vatican museum of  medieval weapons.

The castle is mentioned in novel 'Angels & Demons' by Dan Brown.

El Castillo de Sant' Angelo también conocido como el Mausoleo de Adriano. Al principio fue mausoleo para el emperador Adriano y su familia y sus sucesores. El mausoleo fue construido durante 4 años y sé terminó en 139. El monumento romano situado en la orilla derecha del río Tíber, a poca distancia de la Ciudad del Vaticano.En la tumba fue enterrado también Antonino Pío, Marco Aurelio, Septimio Severo y Caracalla. El edifício se usó por los papas como una fortaleza y el castillo y también como una prisión.

Al final del siglo VI, el papa Gregorio I cambió el nombre del edificio al Castillo del Santo Ángel porque quería conmemorar la aparición del ángel que se ocultaba la espada significando el fin de la epidemia.

Desde 1277 el castillo está conectado con la Ciudad del Vaticano por un corredor fortificado, llamado Passetto di Borgo.

Desde 1933 el edificio es el museo del Vaticano de armas medievales.

El castillo es mencionado en la novela de Dan Brown "Ángeles y demonios".

Kartka przedstawia Pałac Westminsterski, który jest miejscem posiedzeń Parlamentu Zjednoczonego Królestwa (Izba Lordów i Izba Gmin). Pałac znajduje się na lewym brzegu Tamizy. Jedną z najsławniejszych części budynku jest wieża zegarowa Big Ben.Wieża ma 96,3 m wysokości, a średnica tarczy zegara wynosi 7m. Na wieżę prowadzą spiralne schody liczące 334 stopni. 31 maja 2009 roku Big Ben obchodził swoje 150-lecie.

One of the most famous part of the buildings is the Clock Tower known as Big Ben. The tower is 96,3m high and the diameter of the dial is 7m. The spiral staircase has 334 steps. The 31st of May in 2009, the Big Ben celebrated its 150th anniversary.

El palacio está en el lado izquierdo del río Támesis. Una de la parte más famosa de este edificio es la torre del reloj conocido como Big Ben. La torre es 96.3m alta y diámetro de la esfera es de 7m. La escalera de caracol tiene 334 escalones. El 31 de mayo de 2009, el Big Ben celebró su 150 aniversario.

This time surprised postcard from Toruń, which is the birthplace of the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, sent by my friend - Szymon (Simon). On the card you can see panorama of the Old Town.

Wielka Brytania #1 - Kornwalia

St. Michael's Mount, West Cornwall

Wczoraj wieczorem dostałam pocztówkę z Wielkiej Brytanii, a dokładnie z Kornwalii. Pocztówka bardzo mnie ucieszyła, ponieważ dla mnie Kornwalia jest magiczną krainą, o której możemy przeczytać w książkach np. Tristan i Izolda. Legenda opowiada o tragicznej i niespełnionej miłości kornijskiego rycerza Tristana i irlandzkiej księżniczki Izoldy Jasnowłosej. Książkę można przeczytać tutaj.

Yesterday I received postcard from England, exactly from Cornwall. I was very happy because for me Cornwall is a special and magic land, which about I can read in books, for example in Tristan and Iseult. The legend is about tragic and unrequited love between the Cornish knight Tristan (Tristram) and the Irish princess Iseult (Isolde, Yseult, etc.). The book about them you can read here.

Ayer, yo recibí la tarjeta postal de Inglaterra, Cornualles. Estaba muy feliz porque para mí Cornualles es la tierra especial y mágico, que sobre lo puedo leer en libros, por ejemplo Tristán e Isolda. La leyenda cuenta la historia del trágico amor entre un caballero de Cornualles llamado Tristán y una princesa irlandesa llamada Isolda. El libro se puede leer aquí en Inglés (por desgracia no se encuentra en español :( ).

Turcja #1 - Istanbuł

KizKulesi - Istanbul

Jest to zdecydowanie moja ulubiona kartka. Dostałam ją od Sedy z Turcji. Dlaczego tak lubię tę kartkę? Ponieważ cała zapisana była tekstem!

Seda przekazała mi legendę związaną z miejscem, które jest na kartce. Dawno temu żył król, który bardzo kochał swoją córkę. Pewnego dnia wróżbita przepowiedział, że królewna wkrótce zostanie ukąszona przez węża i umrze. Przerażony król wybudował KizKulesi po środku morza, by ochronić swoją córkę. Niestety wąż ukryty w koszu z owocami ukąsił dziewczynę. Król nie mógł ochronić pięknej królewny.

Co więcej Seda poleciła mi piosenkę tureckiego zespołu - Sertab Erener - Ístanbul, ponieważ teledysk pokazuje kilka historycznych miejsc z czasów Bizancjum i Imperium Otomańskiego, a także tradycyjne jedzenie i picie, instrumenty muzyczne, itp. Poniżej zamieszczam klip wideo:

Definitely, this is my favourite postcard. I received it from Seda, Turkey. Why do I like this card so much? It simply to answer - it was all writting!

Seda told me the legend about the place, which is on postcard. Once upon a time there was a king who loves his daughter  so much. One day a fortune teller come and told him that princess will be killed by a bite of a snake soon. So he got afraid and built KizKulesi in the middle of sea, to protect her. But a snake hidden in a fruit basket killed her really :( He couldn't protect the beautiful princess.

What is more, Seda suggested me a song by Turkish team - Sertab Erener Ístanbul, because the official video clip  show some historical places from times of Byzantine and Ottoman Empires and some traditional Turkish foods, drinks, musical instruments, etc. Above I put the video clip.

Esta es mi tarjeta postal favorita. Me recibí de Seda, Turquía. ¿Por qué me gusta esta tarjeta tanto? ¡Porque es todo escritura!

Seda me contó la leyenda sobre este lugar. Érarse una vez un rey que quiere a su hija tanto. Un día un adivino dijo que la princesa será asesinado por la picadura de una serpiente pronto. Así que el rey tiene tuvo miedo y construyó KizKulesi en medio del mar, es protegerla. Pero una serpiente escondida en la cesta de fruta y la princesa murió. Él no podía proteger a la guapa princesa.

Lo que es más, Seda me augirió la canción por el equipo de turco - Sertab Erener Ístanbul, porque el videoclip oficial de mostrar lugares históricos de la época de los imperios Bizantino y Otomano y comidas tradicionales, bebidas, instrumentos musicales, etc. Por encima pongo el videoclip.

Nowa Zelandia #1 - Wellington

Pocztówka z Nowej Zelandii przedstawia popularny środek transportu w Wellington - Cable Car. Jest to jedna z najstarszych, ale i najpopularniejszych atrakcji turystycznych w stolicy. Przejażdżka odbywa się na trasie Lambton Quay (dzielnica biznesowa) do Kelburn (przedmieścia) i Ogrodu Botanicznego. W trakcie przejazdu można podziwiać niesamowite widoki portu oraz miasta.

On the postcard from New Zealand we can see Wellington Cable Car which is one of the oldest and most popular tourist attraction in capital city. It shuttles passengers from Lambton Quay in the central business district to the suburb of Kelburn and the Botanic Gardens, with magnificient views over the city and harbour.

En la postal de Nueva Zelanda podemos ver Wellington Cable Car, que es una de la atracción turística más antigua y más popular en la capital. Se transporta pasajeros desde Lambton Quay (el distrito central de negocios) de Kelburn (la zona residencial) y el Jardín Botánico. Durante le viaje podemos ver vistas magníficas sobre la ciudad y el puerto.
