Kartka przedstawia Pałac Westminsterski, który jest miejscem posiedzeń Parlamentu Zjednoczonego Królestwa (Izba Lordów i Izba Gmin). Pałac znajduje się na lewym brzegu Tamizy. Jedną z najsławniejszych części budynku jest wieża zegarowa Big Ben.Wieża ma 96,3 m wysokości, a średnica tarczy zegara wynosi 7m. Na wieżę prowadzą spiralne schody liczące 334 stopni. 31 maja 2009 roku Big Ben obchodził swoje 150-lecie.

The postcard shows Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament), which is the meeting place of the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (the House of Lords and the House of Commons).The Palace lies on the left side of River Thames. One of the most famous part of the buildings is the Clock Tower known as Big Ben. The tower is 96,3m high and the diameter of the dial is 7m. The spiral staircase has 334 steps. The 31st of May in 2009, the Big Ben celebrated its 150th anniversary.

La tarjeta postal muestra Palacio de Westminster, también conocido como el Parlamento, que es una lugar las dos cámaras del Parlamento del Reino Unido (la Cámara de los Lores y la Cámara de los Comunes). Ostatnie trzy dni były bogate w pocztówki. Dostałam pięć kartek z postcrossingu, a także dwa listy z akcji "Wysyłamy listy na Białoruś". Dzisiaj przedstawiam pierwszą z kartek. Dostałam ją od Andromedy z Torquay w Anglii. Torquay leży w południowo - zachodniej Anglii, w hrabstwie Devon. Miasto jest znane jako miejsce urodzenia Agathy Christie a poświęcone jej muzeum przyciąga licznych turystów.

Last three days were rich of postcards. I received five cards from postcrossing and two letters for action 'Send letters to Belarus'. Today I'm presenting first card. I got it from Andromeda from Torquay in England. Torquay is located in south - west England, in Devon. The city is known as the birthplace of Agatha Christie and the museum dedicated to her attracts many tourists.

Los tres últimos días fueron ricos de postales. He recibido cinco tarjetas de postcrossing y dos cartas para la acción 'Enviar cartas a Bielorrusia". Hoy presento primera tarjeta postal. Wielka Brytania #1 - Kornwalia

Wczoraj wieczorem dostałam pocztówkę z Wielkiej Brytanii, a dokładnie z Kornwalii. Pocztówka bardzo mnie ucieszyła, ponieważ dla mnie Kornwalia jest magiczną krainą, o której możemy przeczytać w książkach np. Tristan i Izolda. Legenda opowiada o tragicznej i niespełnionej miłości kornijskiego rycerza Tristana i irlandzkiej księżniczki Izoldy Jasnowłosej. Książkę można przeczytać tutaj.

Yesterday I received postcard from England, exactly from Cornwall. I was very happy because for me Cornwall is a special and magic land, which about I can read in books, for example in Tristan and Iseult. The legend is about tragic and unrequited love between the Cornish knight Tristan (Tristram) and the Irish princess Iseult (Isolde, Yseult, etc.). The book about them you can read here.

Ayer, yo recibí la tarjeta postal de Inglaterra, Cornualles. Estaba muy feliz porque para mí Cornualles es la tierra especial y mágico, que sobre lo puedo leer en libros, por ejemplo Tristán e Isolda. La leyenda cuenta la historia del trágico amor entre un caballero de Cornualles llamado Tristán y una princesa irlandesa llamada Isolda.
